On 28^th August, 2019 I taught Maths lesson in class III. The topic of my lesson was Nets of 3-D shapes. To teach this lesson, I downloaded videos from youtube. I took children to audiovisual room to watch the video. Children screamed with happiness when they were told about the activity that they are going to do. After readying them for the video lesson, they were well instructed on the dos and don’ts. They were also told to watch the video very carefully for they have a task to be completed after watching the video. Children were just thrilled.

Children watched the video very attentively and enthusiastically till the end. After watching the video, I asked if  they have understood the concept or not , to which they said yes. So I provided a worksheet (identifying the nets of 3-D shapes) to be done in pairs. I was amazed at the way they did the activity!  It saved a lot of my time and energy. They could easily complete the task which indicates the effectiveness of ICT! Integrating  ICT in the teaching learning classroom was well proven.

The lesson went well as per the plan since the lesson plan was discussed and prepared before hand in collaboration with my colleagues who teach the same level. They  provided valuable suggestions and comments for the appropriate planning of the lesson..

On the whole, children were really excited to watch the video and got motivated to do the activity.  ICT really empowers students to engage in the learning process and give them the interest to involve actively in activity.
